The Private Rented Sector (PRS) Landlord Loan is a Scottish Government-backed scheme designed to help private landlords improve the energy efficiency of rental properties.

The scheme provides interest-free loans to support energy-saving improvements and renewable technologies, helping landlords improve property standards and prepare for future energy efficiency requirements.

Unlike grant-based programmes, support is provided through repayable funding rather than direct grants.

The scheme is administered through Home Energy Scotland (HES) on behalf of the Scottish Government.
